Is Internet Porn This Generation's Sex Ed?
According to The Christian Post, online safety experts say kids are viewing online porn before their parents or local schools have a chance to talk with them about sex.
Cris Clapp Logan, congressional relations director of Enough is Enough, an organization committed to increasing Internet safety for families and kids, says kids are exposed to so much sex online, on TV and in films these days that the much-dreaded "sex-talk" has become outdated. "Parents must have an ongoing conversation about sex, body image issues, and healthy sexuality as their children grow and develop. Otherwise the pornography message will win out,” Logan says.
The CP article quoted statistics that show that 70 percent of kids accidentally encounter pornography online, with almost 80 percent of this exposure occurring at home.
