N&B – Nursery

This is one post in a series called Nuts and Bolts, single concise thoughts on some of the topics that make up life ministering to children in a local Church.

Nuts & Bolts – NURSERY

I am using nursery to refer to a program for babies under one in Church services? (sound right?)

As with a lot of things in Church life, make sure you ask why.

Make sure your Church is running a nursery because they feel it is important as a community to do so, not because it’s what every other Church does… because they don’t.

Parenting rooms just like at your local mall or shopping centre where parents (not just Mum’s) can take their unsettled child are completely culturally relevant.

The goal is to make the gathering as the Church as inviting and welcoming as possible, not to keep a perceived status quo.
