What Lies Beneath

A blog is like the top of an iceberg, the tiny part that peeks up above the ocean and everyone can see. But under the surface lies the substance, the actual stuff, hidden from view.

Here are a few things under the surface of my blog:

1. I just sent web copy to my designer-friend Nathan Davis for THE biggest project I’ve ever undertaken – a feature length film. And I’m going to need your help. If all goes as planned – we’ll shoot a concept trailer in April – you’ll learn about the project and how you can be involved in May.

2. The STORY site has been in development all month. We’re finalizing speakers, and you should see the big unveiling in early April. Tickets are already being purchased on our gateway to beat the early bird deadline and the inevitable sell-out due to limited seating. STORY will be held at Park Community Church again in downtown Chicago on Sept 15-16.

3. Our first short film goes into production in late May in Charlotte, NC, directed by Jared Hogan. A few “co-producers” have come alongside me to make it possible — Stephen Brewster and Jenni Catron at Cross Point Church in Nashville, Mark Batterson at National Community Church in DC, and Perry Noble at NewSpring Church in SC. I’m so grateful for their creative and visionary leadership. You’ll see the premiere of the film at STORY… and then at these churches.
