4 Ways the Church Can Transform America

Like Us

Derwin Gray: "Jesus is calling and empowers us, through His very Life, to create a better story of how life is lived."

Church, the unbelieving world ignores us, relegating us to a non-influential sub-group of American culture because our words don’t match our actions.

When we, as the Church, interact with one another in humility (Philippians 2:3-5).
2. When we, as the Church, honor one another (Romans 12:10).
3. When we, as the Church, connect with and respect other Christians who are of a different ethnic or socio-economic background (Romans 12:16).
4. When we, as the Church, are unified (1 Corinthians 1:10).

When we, as the Church, by the Spirit’s power, create and live in a community of love within our broken world, our broken culture will thirst and hunger for the love and community we have.

Jesus is calling and empowers us, through His very Life, to create a better story of how life is lived.

The reason I wanted to become a Christ-follower is because I watched one of my teammates (Steve Grant) for five years while playing for the Indianapolis Colts. After observing the way he lived his life, interacted with my teammates, and served the city of Indianapolis, I wanted the kind of life he lived.

Church, may we, through the indwelling life of Jesus, by the Spirit’s power, love each other in such a way that our unbelieving American culture says, “I want the kind of life they live.”

Marinate on that,

Pastor Derwin
