This is a regular question here at Big Bear Christian Center. We have installed receptacles in the rear wall of the Celebration Center on both sides of the exit doors. We point our people toward this style of giving as a point of regularity in worship and support for the ministries cared for by the church. We encourage everyone to prepare their tithe and offerings before arriving and then perform this simple act as a practiced lifestyle, rather than being spontaneous in their giving and only responding to an offering plea each week.
When the question of offerings in the cells began circulating among the leaders, the opportunity was made to give it try. Special envelopes were provided to each leader with simple instructions about receiving the offering and verifying it before bringing it to the office or celebration the following weekend. It was soon discovered that no one wanted to utilize this foreign idea or practice. Regular celebration attendees did not wish to change their practices and the visitors, or those who only attended the cell and not the celebrations seemed indifferent to the idea at best. We no longer provide this opportunity in the cell groups.
Next time this is approached it will be preceded by teaching of scriptural norms and confirmation by testimony of His people. Without these two items in place the success of transition to offerings in our cells will likely be unfruitful.

¿Dónde pongo mi ofrenda?
Esta es una pregunta normal aquí, en Centro Cristiano Oso Grande (Big Bear Christian Center). Durante los últimos 10 años, hemos hecho una pausa para recibir una ofrenda de la manera tradicional pero no ha sido nuestra práctica. Tenemos muy bien diseñado recipientes de madera en la pared posterior del Centro de Celebración en ambos lados de las puertas de entrada. Señalamos a nuestros miembros, hacia este estilo de dar como un punto de regularidad en el culto y el apoyo a los ministerios atendidos por la iglesia. Animamos a todos a preparar sus diezmos y ofrendas antes de llegar y luego llevar a cabo este acto tan simple como un estilo de vida práctica, en lugar de ser espontáneo en sus donaciones, sólo se responde a un motivo que se ofrece cada semana.
Cuando la pregunta de las ofrendas en las células comenzaron a circular entre los líderes, la oportunidad se hizo para intentarlo. No concedemos esta posibilidad en los grupos de células.
La próxima vez que se acerca, será precedida por la enseñanza de las normas bíblicas y de la confirmación por el testimonio de su pueblo. Sin estos dos elementos en su lugar de éxito la transición a la ofrenda en nuestras células probablemente será infructuosa.
