5 Reasons to Quit a Small Group

There aren’t many good reasons to quit a small group. But I’d agree with anyone who wanted to leave their group if any of the following five things were happening.

1. The only snack that is served is cold broccoli.
2. The leader of the group starts each group meeting by declaring, “Please don’t tell us about your problems, we have a Bible study to complete.”
3. The leader hurls insults at each group member as they arrive and then announces, “I do this to toughen you up so you can share Jesus with your friends!”
4. Child care means throwing the kids out into the front yard then kneeling in prayer praying nothing happens to them.

5. Instead of studying the Bible the group reads a chapter of the latest Dr. Phil book and has an in depth conversation is search of the gospel of “The Great Doctor.”
