Modesty, MTV and Who's Really Dressing Your Daughter?

It’s just the truth. (No, I’m not saying if your wife or daughter wears a bikini, it means you view porn. I already said that you can disagree with me and not necessarily be sinning.)

Married couples should celebrate and enjoy the beauty of the bodies that God has given them.

Men: Why do you want another guy celebrating the intimate beauty of your wife’s body with you?

You really want Joe Shmoe admiring the cute little birthmark on your wife’s stomach? Think about it, God intended you to have exclusive intimate knowledge of your wife’s body.

Ladies, you are precious to God and uniquely designed by Him.

Guarding something indicates its high value. Modesty indicates that your body is valuable, precious and only to be enjoyed by your husband.

Is a bikini modest? I don’t know, but I do know that you can’t legally wear any less clothing in public.

As Jessica Rey pointed out in her lecture, The Evolution of the Swimsuit, MRI brain scans show that when a man views a scantily clad woman, he sees a thing that can be used. A man that views a modestly dressed woman sees a person. Rey says, “Analysts at the National Geographic concluded that bikinis really do inspire men to see women as objects.”

A Christian man knows better … or he should. A Christian man views any woman and sees a regal creation of great value. What does your clothing say about you?

Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? ?She is more precious than rubies” (Proverbs 31:10).

Do you agree?

Do you believe that parents do have the right to give their daughter permission to wear a bikini? Hey, I’m only human, and I could be wrong.
