Why is Life Without God Absolutely Absurd?

If there is no God, we have no hope.  If there is no God, this creates a huge amount of “worry” because that means this at this moment is all there is forever.  This does not cause me to “enjoy my life” as the sign says with famous Atheist Richard Dawkins in the doorway.  I don’t want to hang any balloons anywhere.  Without God, it is all going to stop sooner or later, but especially when you die.

Consider this…

“If God does not exist, than both man and the universe are inevitably doomed to death.  Man, like all biolgical organisms, must die.  With no hope of immortality, man’s life leads only to the grave.  His life is but a spark in the infinite blackness, a spark that appears, flickers and dies forever.”

“Therefore, everyone must come fact-to-face with what theologian Paul Tillich has called, “the threat of nonbeing.”  For though I know now that I exist, that I am alive, I also know that someday I will not longer exist, that I will no longer be, that I will die.  This thought is staggering and threatening: to think that the person I call “myself” will cease to exist, that I will be no more!”

“And the universe, too, faces a death of its own.  Scientists tell us that the universe is expanding, and the galaxies are growing farther and farther apart.  As it does so, it grows colder and colder as its energy is used up.  Eventually all the stars will burn out, and all matter will collapse into dead stars and black holes. There will be no light; there will be no heat; there will be no life; only the corpses of dead stars and galaxies, ever expanding into the endless darkness and the cold recesses of space – a universe in ruins.”

“This is not science fiction: This is really going to happen, unless God intervenes.  Not only is the life of each individual person doomed; the entire human race and the whole edifice and accomplishment of human civilization is doomed.  Like prisoners condemned to death, we await our unavoidable execution.  There is no escape.  There is no hope.”

Without a personal God…

There is no immortality.
There is no ultimate meaning for anything.
There is no Ultimate value for anything.
There is no ultimate purpose in life.
There is no reason to live today.

But…

When we believe in a very personal and all powerful God who cares for his creation and human beings we begin to ask questions like…

Is there life after this life?
Is there a real purpose for me today and after this life?
Is there any value to living?

This very personal and all powerful God is described in the Biblical Scriptures especially in the person of Jesus Christ.  There is hope after you die.  Jesus rose from the dead thus, we too will rise from the dead.  The purpose for living is to glorify this personal One True God described in the Bible.  It is not to live according to fleeting feelings, but to combine our thinking with our emotions according to what God thinks.  This is found in the Biblical Scriptures.

But…

To live for God today during this life and to spend all of eternity with the loving God, we must believe in Jesus as our Savior, because we all fall short of having a relationship with God.  It is called “sinfulness”.  Do you know the Ten Commandments?  Do you know one of them?  None of us can live a perfect life (including me!), but God is perfect and Holy, thus we need someone to take away our mistakes against God.  This is what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross, to take away our sins so that we can have a relationship forever with this personal God.

Consider, believing and receiving Jesus Christ today.
He forgives us our sins.
He gives you assurance.
He gives you purpose.
He gives you value.

Without God, we are all doomed.  This causes lots of worry today!
With God, we have the opportunity to be Saved forever!  This causes lots of freedom today!

What do you think?  If you would like to know more about this Jesus or what the Bible says about all of this or would like to believe in Him and receive Him do it right now.  Talk to God.  Tell him you want Jesus to be your Savior.  It is a free gift.  Just believe and receive!  Simple.
