Dr. Ravi Zacharias reflecting on Facebook: “Where destruction is the motive, unity is dangerous. Where goodness is the motive, unity is phenomenal.”
Thank you Dr. Ravi. Your video is quite sound and has shed light to some of the questions I have always asked myself about FaceBook
Well said. The same was/is true of the telephone. These things are two edged swords. However, the immediacy and scope of social media pointed out in this article accurately notes how much more powerful the internet can be for good or evil.
what does Ravi mean “in your face?” Can someone explain, please?
It is a phrase that means to be confrontational with beliefs or ideas. Imagine someone yelling at or lecturing another person, up close, in their personal space. It is an aggressive invasion of the other person’s closely held ideologies.
The term “in your face” refers to an attitude. As an example: I am witnessing to a person and the conversation is all one-sided. In other words I don’t listen or give you a chance to say anything.
Short, to the point. Shed key stats! Thank you Dr. Zacharias!
The only place, on the entire earth, exempt from the Great Commission, is inside the four walls of the Church. The world will not come through the doors of the church unless we go and tell, and bring them in.
Excellent video. I think it’s important to listen to the whole clip, less you get the wrong impression of what is being said!
We’re using Facebook for online small groups and prayer times. May God help us!
Sorry but Facebook has become a religion…or cult(?). I have “friends” who are on Facebook continually and others who check it more than daily. Facebook has completely changed the meaning of “friend” which is now someone you let have access to your info. Your “small groups and prayer times” are well-intentioned but there may be those who ‘share’ the info with added content that you may not be aware of and which you would never use. I know we cannot stop the ruthless march of technology but how I long for some ‘real’ friends! An aside to those who don’t know: ANYTHING you put on the internet is there FOREVER!!! Even if you just share it with one ‘friend’, it still can get out there and resurface when it is most damaging to you. Just sayin…
Thank you for your concern. Will take that into consideration. Thanks.
Yes what you put on facebook is there forever….that’s why one should never put anything on it that is something you might be ashamed of at a later date. Spreading thoughts and concerns,,,if the truth…wouldn’t give me cause for concern.
I agree your message on Face Book and world should understand it….Thank you Dr. Ravi
God bless you great man of God. I agree with you entirely.
All those, young and older, who profess Christ as their Saviour should use the social media to advance His Kingdom. Best way to be an Ambassador of Jesus Christ.
in your face..it meeans…..
This is interesting ,I belief is subject to critical thinking and analysis
thanks to Dr Ravi.
